Classic Planes and Classic Cars, too.
The Northwest Antique Airplane Club will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary Fly-In this year at Pearson Field Airport located in Vancouver, Washington August 14-16, 2009. This was also the site of their very first Fly-In.
There will be hundreds of antique, classic and experimental airplanes on the field to see up close and personal. Pilots have been invited to “sleep under their wings” and will be available to talk with the public about their planes. These planes fly all over the USA and some are one-of-a-kind.
Mayor Royce Pollard will be opening the event at noon on Friday, August 14 and runs till 5 pm.
Saturday August 15 open from 8 am to 5 pm. Saturday, after checking out all the vintage planes, walk across the street to the park for a vintage Baseball Game.
Sunday open from 8 am to noon. On Sunday come watch the planes line up and take off and then stay for the 2009 All Buick Car Show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
