Clark County Walk and Knock Looking for a Few Good Hands

hey! sharing is caring :)

You Gotta Know When to Fold ‘Em.

Before all the Walking and Knocking takes place on Saturday, December 4, 2010, before the bags are filled, before the bags are distributed, there are about 148,000 paper bags that need to be folded! That’s right, 148,000 paper bags need to be folded for distribution to homes as part of  Clark County’s largest food drive.

Clark County Walk and Knock will be holding two bag folding “parties” – ok, so it’s a “work party”… but a party’s a party, right? : ) – at the Stop Hunger Warehouse (7509 NE 47th Ave) between 8 am and mid-afternoon on Saturday, November 20th and Saturday, November 27th. Bring your family, bring your friends and enjoy the “party” and keep in mind the old adage, “Many hands make light work”.

Volunteers are also needed on the day of , and after, the main event. They are looking for drivers and food picker-uppers, people to bring the donations to a central drop-off location, and box the groceries so it can be taken to local food banks. Can’t volunteer, but still want to help? You can make a difference by donating supplies or money, or becoming a corporate sponsor. Visit Clark County Walk and Knock for more information or call 877-995-6625.
