Vancouver Sends 104th Training Division Off In Style.
A family friendly “Celebrate Freedom Festival” is this Saturday, September 19 on the Fort Vancouver Parade Grounds (between Evergreen and E 5th St.) to honor all uniformed services and bid a farewell to the 104th Training Division that is transferred to Fort Lewis after a 60 year stay in Vancouver.
The Celebrate Freedom Festival events include:
7:30 Free Pancake Breakfast sponsored by Lions Club and IQ Credit Union
10:00 Formal ceremony bidding farewell to the 104th and honoring all Veterans
Noon to 4:00 Community Festival featuring family friendly activities, food, equipment displays, living history reenactments, army artifacts.
12:30 Vancouver Community Band Concert
1:30 Ms. Kelly Carr “Salute to the Troops” Concert
2:30 Vancouver Pipe Band Concert
3:00 US Army Band Concert and Drill Demonstration by the Young Marines
1:00, 2:00, 2:45 Iwo Jima Young Marine Reenactments
