Clark County Flags Flying

But Only at Half Mast.
If you look around Clark County on Monday and Tuesday this week, you will notice the American Flag flying at half staff. When you do see one, please also take a moment to remember the reason why.
Monday, November 9, 2009: Governor Chris Gregoire has directed that flags at all Washington State agency facilities be lowered to half-staff Monday, November 9, in memory of U. S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 4 Michael P. Montgomery, 36 and a native of Redmond, who died last week in Afghanistan of injuries sustained when his helicopter crashed.
Tuesday, November 10, 2009: President Obama has directed flags at all federal buildings to half-staff in memory of those killed at Fort Hood and Governor Chris Gregoire has directed that flags at all Washington State agency facilities also be lowered.
