Thousands of walkers. Hundreds of miles. One goal.
The FAAN (Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network) Walk is Sunday, August 15, 2009 at the Vancouver National Historic Reserve. Registration begins at 9:00 am, and the 1.5 mile walk begins at 10:00 am. The FAAN Walk for Food Allergies is to raise funds for the continuing research and education into food allergies.
Over 12 million people suffer from food allergies, more than 3 million of them children. Scientists still do not know why food allergies are increasing in children. Findings from research has been used to change state and federal laws, raise public awareness, and improve the daily lives of those affected by food allergies.
For more information or if you are interested in volunteering, either click the FAAN link or email faanwalks@foodallergy.org.
