Looking for a summer camp for the kiddos? How about a camp that gets them outside, exploring, learning and having fun? Columbia Springs is offering Nature Nuts, a camp geared for students entering second through fifth grade. The program gives children the opportunity to have an active and creative outdoor learning experience close to home!
Campers will learn about nature, play games, make crafts and enjoy the many unique features of Columbia Springs, including trails, wetlands, the stream table, and lakes. The camp runs Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and there are still openings for the week of July 26-30. Cost is $150 per camper, with a $50 discount for additional siblings. Columbia Springs (12208 SE Evergreen Highway) is a 100 acre open space campus and includes walking trails, a laboratory classroom, an outdoor classroom, and the circa 1938 historic Vancouver Trout Hatchery. They are open to the public every day from dawn to dusk and visitors can walk the nature trails, observe birds and wildlife , or explore their environmental education opportunities.
