Update 8/21/09: Vancouver Lake Reopens for Swimming Today!

Vancouver Lake has been temporarily closed until further notice due to high levels of E. Coli bacteria and Blue-Green Algae.  Because exposure to either of these can cause illness, public health officials are recommending:
*No Swimming or Wading
*No Wind Surfing or Sail Boarding
*No Water Contact for Animals

Vancouver Lake Park will remain open and the water within the facilities is not affected by the lake and is still safe to drink.  Clark County Public Health will continue to test the lake and will advise the public when water contact is considered safe again.
