Hazel Dell Parade 2014 Battle of the Bands Winner

hey! sharing is caring :)

The Hazel Dell Parade ‘Battle of the Marching Bands’ was an incredible success, with over 1,000 entries received. It’s obvious that local school bands have some serious fans, and tons of friends and family supporting them along the way.

We at ClarkCountyLive.com were pleased to partner with the Hazel Dell/Salmon Creek Business Association to make the ‘Battle of the Marching Bands’ part of the Golden Jubilee, the 50th annual Hazel Dell Parade.

So who won? We thought you’d like to know…

Since it’s a Marching Band contest… can we get a drumroll, please? :)

OK, some kids should grab their favorite bell-bottom pants and a shiny round ball… because it’s gonna be a “Disco” party. :)

Congratulations to the Discovery Middle School Marching Band, and Band Director David Conditt – winners of the 2014 Hazel Dell Parade ‘Battle of the Marching Bands.’ Discovery will receive $200 towards a Band Party at a location of their choosing. Have fun, but just stay out of ‘Treble.’ :)

We’d like to also recognize Hockinson High School and Hudson’s Bay High School, who came in second and third, respectively. And finally, we’d like to thank ALL of the Bands who participated, not just in the contest, but for your performance in the Parade. We applaud your efforts, and we hope these are experiences that will last a lifetime.

Until next year, keeping working to stay ‘sharp’ and we hope to ‘C’ you then.
