Take a Walk Through Vancouver’s History
The Historic Downtown Vancouver Walking Tour’s second set of tours for the year will start July 19th and run (or should we say, walk!) through August 30th every Friday, from 12pm to 1pm. Each week, museum tour guide, Brad Richardson will talk about the development and highlights of a specific historic area of downtown Vancouver.
The tour progresses geographically and chronologically up through the city visiting seven distinct locations. Esther Short is the first tour, followed by Lower Main, Uptown Village, Hough, Arnada, Middle Main, and Carter Park.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn what this city was built on, to experience our local history first-hand, and to get a little cardio in at the same time!
Tickets can be purchased at the Clark County Historical Museum or with exact change, from Brad the tour guide. The cost for an individual tour is $5 for members, $7 for non-members. For a seven-tour pass, the cost is $30 for members, and $44 for non-members. Visit www.cchmuseum.org/events/walking-tours or call 360-993-5679 to see where each tour begins.
