Magenta Theater presents the main stage production The Women of Lockerbie, written by Deborah Brevoort and directed by Melissa Barnick.
Loosely inspired by real events, The Women of Lockerbie chronicles one woman’s search for her son who was lost on the tragic Pan Am flight 103. As this New Jersey mother scours the mountains of Scotland, she meets a group of women fighting political pressure and personal demons. These women are determined to wash the victims 11,000 pieces of laundry and then return them to their families. In this way they fight to turn an act of hate into an act of love.
