It is that time of year again…yep, time to head to over to the Clark County Fair for ten fun packed days. Opening day starts off with a pancake breakfast on Aug 1st at 8:00 am and the fair run through 10:00 pm on Aug 10th.
This year there is of course the return of many of the favorites in the grandstands, 4-H building, exhibit area, food and rides…but as always some exciting new additions are in place that fit nicely around the 2014 Clark County Fair theme “Make A Splash”:
The High Diving Pirates of the Caribbean Show
Bring the whole family to be amazed with this formidable height and daring diving exhibition. The show features 3 meter and 10 meter “Fancy” diving, a hilarious Comedy Act, Clown diving, dramatic Fire Dive and a High dive of no less than 70 feet that will have you on the edge of your seat. Adding to the display is a dramatic inflatable pirate ship and dive tower decorated with sails, netting and the “crow’s nest”. This show is 20-22 minutes in length and tells the “Story” of Pirates sailing the seven seas and is fast paced excitement for young and old alike. Kids love this show!
Sea Lion Splash
This unique show is truly one of a kind, being the only sea lion show which features both California sea lions and South American sea lions. This incredible presentation features sea lions performing entertaining and educational tricks including handstands, balancing balls, flips, dancing, smiling, and even teaching kids how to recycle!
Toytopia
This is an immersive and interactive exhibition focusing on the various histories and legacies of toymakers throughout the past century of toy making . Visitors will learn about the origins of toys, who made them, and why they are fun and dear to us. The current conception of “Toytopia” gives a larger emphasis to the specific genres within the world of toys and their histories. The exhibit will feature: The Toy Tower, Retro Arcade, “Larger Than Life” Doll House, World’s Largest Etch-A-Sketch, and a oversized Hasbro exhibit.

The Clark County Fair will be open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm; Sunday to Thursday and 10:00 am to 11:00 pm; Friday and Satuday, except for Aug 1st with the Grand Opening at 8:00 am.
