Sleep Country Amphitheater Provides Free Tickets.

Helping feed the hungry, now that’s music to my ears! Sleep Country Amphitheater will host the ‘Share Food for Tickets‘ food drive to benefit Share of Vancouver on Thursday, August 30, 2012 from noon to 5:00 p.m. at Grand Central Fred Meyer (2500 Columbia House Blvd., Vancouver) and at Sleep Country Amphitheater (17200 NE Delfel Road, Ridgefield) on September 4, 2012 at 311 and  Slightly Stoopid and on September 6, 2012 at Willie Nelson.

Donate 10 pounds or more of food in a reusable grocery bag (minimum 10 pound donation or a minimum $20 cash donation) and receive a ticket voucher for a free concert to either 311 and Slightly Stoopid on September 4, 2012 or Willie Nelson on September 6, 2012 at the Sleep Country Amphitheater. Vouchers can be redeemed on the day of show only at Sleep Country Amphitheater.

For every 25 pounds of food you donate, you will be entered into a drawing to win one of six pairs of  VIP box tickets with access to the VIP Lounge for either concert. Prize announcement will be 1 hour prior to the start of each show at the donation point at Sleep Country Amphitheater. Winner must be present to win.

The person that donates the most food by weight on Thursday,  August 30 at Fred Meyer Grand Central will receive a six seat VIP box to either 311 and Slightly Stoopid or The Willie Nelson concert, which will include access to the VIP lounge, VIP parking and a pre-show light buffet.  Winner will be notified after 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2012.

Last year’s ‘Share Food for Tickets’ drives brought in 24,000+ pounds of food, as well as $2,300 in cash donations. “It is so important to give back to the community that we live and work in,” said Dan Braun, Sleep Country Amphitheater’s Chief Executive Officer.  “Share works daily to serve those most in need in our community and we are pleased to be supporting them again this year with the Share Food for Tickets” drive.

Most needed food items for Share’s Backpack and Hot Meals programs include: peanut butter, tuna, canned chili and soup, canned fruits and vegetables, instant oatmeal and pancake mix, ground coffee, pasta and rice, and boxed meals.
