Rusty Grape Offers Friday Night Fun

Dinner, Music, Movie and Wine.

What’s your idea of a fun Friday night? Dinner and a movie? A little wine and music?  Hanging out in the backyard with friends? How about if you could combine all those things together? Well, that’s what the folks at Rusty Grape Vineyard have done; and you’re invited!

Start your evening with some wine tasting, then get ready for Marianne’s Open Mic Friday from 7 to 9 pm, or get up onstage yourself and sing a song or two. When the music is over, it’s time to settle in for this weeks movie on the lawn, Star Trek. Don’t forget to bring a sweatshirt or blanket, once the sun goes down, it can get a bit chilly!

Hungry? Visit the Rusty Grape’s own Patina’s Cucina for some artisan breads, spreads, cheeses, and even some imported and domestic beer. (Yes, beer, at a winery ). Also, Galeotti’s will be there grilling up some delish dishes (and the most awesome cheesecake ever!), or feel free to bring your own picnic or pizza with you.

Battle Ground Harvest Days

The Battle Ground Harvest Days 2010 is  a three day event organized by the Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce and is held the third weekend of July each year. That means this year’s event will be July 16-18, 2010 and will be located at Battle Ground Village.

“The streets of Battle Ground Village are transformed into a carnival with rides and games for children of all ages along with arts and crafts, food and live musical entertainment. Fun for the whole family, the Harvest Days festival features a parade Saturday morning, free evening music concerts and a huge classic car show. Sunday morning take the family out on a two mile fun run or go for the gold in the 8K and 1/2 marathon.”

The event kicks off Friday morning at 9 am with the Battle Ground Village Outdoor Market, art show, vendor booths, and more! Official Opening Ceremonies to take place at 5 pm on the Main Stage. Saturday will feature the Children’s Parade, the Main Parade, and the Harvest Days Show n Shine Car Show. Battle Ground Tree Lighting

Community Ceremony and Celebration.

The 20^th Annual Battle Ground Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony & Celebration will take place on Friday, December 4^th at Fairgrounds Park and the Battle Ground Community Center located at 912 East Main Street in Battle Ground.  The Tree Lighting Ceremony and Celebration event is jointly hosted by The City of Battle Ground, Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce, the North County Community Food Bank and Clark County Fire & Rescue.

Annual Ladybug Bazaar in Battle Ground

What is the Ladybug Bazaar all about?

The Ladybug Bazaar has two missions: First to provide a venue for quality handcrafted items by local artisans, and second to provide profits to the club which are used to carry out service to the community. The Ladybug Bazaar is the main fundraiser for GFWC – Battle Ground.

Starting as a small bazaar of 12 tables in the basement of the Odd Fellows Hall in 1967, the event has over the years grown in size and prestige. It is currently one of the largest non-commercial bazaars in Southwest Washington. The quality of the merchandise offered to the public is superb. Vendors must live in Clark County, Washington.

The Ladybug Bazaar will be held November 7, 2009 at Battle Ground High School from 9 am to 4 pm. There is no admission fee, but a donation of canned food or money for the North County Community Food Bank will be graciously accepted. For more information, call 360.687.1503, or click here.

Halloween Fun Fest

Scary Good Fun in Battle Ground.

The Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce and the City of Battle Ground partner to host Halloween Fun Fest, an annual Safe Trick or Treating event on Friday, October 30, 2009.  Trick or Treating from 4-6pm. Fright Night at the Battle Ground Community Center from 5-7pm.  Coloring Contest hosted by Battle Ground Printing. Cash Raffle.

Battle Ground Golf Classic

11th Annual Golf Tournament at The Cedars on Salmon Creek.

Save the date, October 2, 2009, for the 11th Annual Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament at The Cedars on Salmon Creek Golf Club.  It’s a 12:30 pm Shotgun Start and finishes with a BBQ Dinner, Prizes and Awards.

Free Dog Licensing

City of Battle Ground Through August.

It’s the law.  It’s easy.  And through August, it’s free too.

The City of Battle Ground, Washington requires all dogs over the age of six months to be registered with the city at all times. And membership does have its privileges.  Licensed dogs have a greater chance of being returned home if lost, pay a reduced release fee if impounded, and have a longer stay at the city facility if needed.

Three Easy Steps to License Your Dog:
1. Submit a complete dog license application, with proof of rabies.
2. Turn in application by mail or in person to:

Clark County Parade of Homes
