Making Memories at Clark County Fair.
One of the displays I enjoyed at this year’s Clark County Fair was “The Old Firehouse”. It’s a display of over 40 Fire Engines and fire fighting equipment, dating from the 1800′s to current day. Many of the old engines have been beautifully restored, and just walking through the building tells a great visual story of how tied to the community firefighters were, and still are.

The Clark County Fair is celebrating 143 years of being the Summer’s Best Party! This year the fun begins on Friday, August 5 and the party continues every day through Sunday, August 14, 2011.
The opening day Fred Meyer Free Admission and Pancake Breakfast tradition continues this year, between 8 am and 11 am. 142 Years of Summer Fun in Clark County!
The Clark County Fair has been a summer tradition for me for as long as I can remember; and I won’t be breaking with tradition this year! The Clark County Fair will be August 6th through the 15th at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Ridgefield, WA. The Clark County Fair will open on Friday, August 7 with free admission (until 11 am) and free pancake breakfast sponsored by Fred Meyer. You will need to pick up a coupon from your local Fred Meyer store before Friday morning!
C-Tran is also offering free fare on August 7 until approximately noon for the Clark County Fair’s annual free admission and pancake breakfast day.

Buy Your Discount Tickets Now.
The Clark County Fair has been billed as “The Summer’s Best Party” for a while now, and I have to agree it’s true. If you plan on going, you can save a lot of money by buying advance tickets now through Aug 7.
Of course, I don’t actually save any of it; but buying advance tickets gives me more money in my pocket to spend at the Fair. Why does food always taste so good at the Fair?

Update 8/6/09: All Fred Meyer stores are out of Free Pancake Breakfast and Admission coupons. And yes, you do need the coupon for free admission even if you don’t want to eat breakfast there. However, discount admission and ride tickets are still available for purchase through today.
