Clark County Burn Ban Lifted.
The burn ban in effect since August 18th in Clark County for recreational fires (yes, there was a burn ban in effect) has been lifted due to recent rainfall and cooler temperatures (although, today didn’t feel like “cooler” temps to me!).
Even though the burn ban has been lifted, there are still rules for backyard recreational fires:
1. Recreational fires should be built in metal, stone or masonry lined fire pits.

Annual Public Safety Complex Open House.
The Public Safety Complex at the Clark County Fairgrounds will be having an Open House Saturday, September 19 from 12 to 4 pm. This is a joint event of the Clark County Sheriffs Office, Clark County Fire District 6, Clark County Fire and Rescue, and the Clark County Fire Marshall. Last year’s open house had about 1,500 attendees!

Burn Ban In Effect for Vancouver and Clark County.
What? No sitting around a crackling fire or roasting yummy s’mores over hot coals tonight? Not that I really planned on it, with it still being 94 degrees at 7:30 pm in my backyard in Salmon Creek, but the Fire Marshal made it official.
